Friday morning, June 25, 2010, members of Have Court, Will Travel will be leaving for Door County and its inaugural "Door County Renaissance Fantasy Faire". This event will last two weekends and we shall enjoy "reigning" over both of them. Our thanks to the producer and to all the staff working so hard to open in a few short days. We all pledge to do our best and give the audience the best festival experience EVER!
Dbq Ren Faire contracts
Dubuque Renaissance Faire performers - PLEASE sign & send your contract back. If I don't have that contract to share with our bookkeeper, you won't get a paycheck.
However, if you you wish to donate your promised salary back to the Museum of Art as a gift, and not returning your contract is your way of expressing that, that's great too! We will consider your time donated, but you'll still get your hotel room!
Calling all merchants!
Just a quick reminder that the Dubuque Renaissance Faire is on May 22 and 23, 2010. We have a new location and have added a joust this year. The deadline for the discounted vendor fee is April 2, 2010. I hope you will be joining us this year. Go to www.dbqart.com and click on the Ren Faire logo. The 2010 vendor app is available for downloading. Don't miss out - applications are coming in already!

2010 Have Court, Will Travel cast
Have Court, Will Travel will be gearing up for the 2010 season very soon! We will be performing at the Dubuque Renaissance Faire, Door County Renaissance Faire and the Des Moines Renaissance Faire, and are considering a couple of other bookings. J
Join me in congratulating Janelle H. previously known as Lady Audrey; she gave a great audition and has been cast in the role of Princess Margaret.
Expect a couple of other casting announcements over the next month or so! We all expect 2010 to be even more fun than 2009. I'm so proud to work with such a talented group of actors!
brocades and velvet fabrics for sale!
Mostly 2 - 4 yard pieces of fabrics, but enough for a bodice or a doublet, for the most part. Go to this link to look at the nine different fabrics I'm selling. Prices are between $10 and $22. (plus shipping costs) Happy shopping!
Attention Scottish characters!
Attention folks with Scottish characters or friends of Scottish Renaissance characters - I have somewhere around nine yards of gorgeous Blackwatch plaid wool and want to sell it. I'm offering it to my closer friends and acquaintances before I list it on Ebay. Anyone interested in making a lovely gown or full kilt out of it? Let me know if you want to see a photo or if you want a proper measurement of how much fabric I truly have!
Audition notice!
FYI - renaissance faire performers, I am currently accepting audition DVD's for the 2010 Dubuque Renaissance Faire. Our dates are Saturday and Sunday, May 22nd and 23rd. Our new location, the YMCA Union Park campsite. Acres and acres of trees and room for a joust! Please message me for my address to mail in your audition materials.
Huzzah! Returning to the workforce!
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers during my (overly long) work search. I will begin full time employment next week as an Event Coordinator at Reiman Gardens in Ames Iowa. I'm thrilled with the opportunity to put my talents to use for this fabulous organization that is a part of Iowa State University!
Looking for a lost item
A longbow belonging to a member of Have Court, Will Travel was left leaning against the small picket fence near the royal court pavillion space, on the final night of the Des Moines Renaissance Faire. It was a couple feet away from our green trailer. I'm looking for anyone who was on the grounds after hours, who might have seen it or possibly picked it up to keep it safe. Any help is greatly appreciated. Festival management hasn't been able to find it.
